Coyote’s is a little community-oriented market in the heart of Carpinteria, celebrating local producers and sustainable practices.
SUSTAINABLE MEAT & SEAFOOD
We source as much of our meat and seafood from the Central Coast as possible. Every cut comes from small ranches practicing regenerative agriculture, where animals are pasture-raised, humanely treated, and never given hormones or antibiotics.
Our seafood tells a similar story: wild-caught on the West Coast, using sustainable fishing practices, with priority given to Central Coast fisherman whenever possible.
LOCAL DRY GOODS & HOUSEWARES
From the Santa Ynez Valley to Ojai and along the California coast, we've curated an array of pantry staples and kitchen smallwares from small producers who share our values.
Stock your shelves, upgrade your cookware, or discover the perfect hostess gift—everything here reflects the craftsmanship and care of our local food community.
Created by Carpinteria locals who've spent their lives building things—businesses, relationships with farmers and ranchers, and a deep understanding of what it means to source food with intention.
Peter and Caroline Hernandez (née Hummer), both born and raised in Santa Barbara County, dreamed of opening Coyote's together as their chance to bring everything they've learned full circle—and to give back to the community that's given them so much.
